Penmarc'h dancers, Robert MICHEAU-VERNEZ

Couple of dancers from Penmarc'h, by Robert MICHEAU-VERNEZ for HENRIOT QUIMPER.

Robert Micheau-Vernez is a French painter and ceramist who made a major contribution to the development of Henriot Quimper, one of Brittany's most famous earthenware factories. Renowned for his colorful, modern style, he breathed new life into the production of this historic company. His work is marked by stylized representations of Breton characters, often in traditional costume, as well as scenes from everyday life in Brittany. The use of bright colors, simplified forms and a keen sense of composition give his creations a dimension that is both modern and timeless.
